Rio Paralympics 2016

Okay, I admit that I committed a big error by not attending the Rio Olympics 2016. It's because I read so many disappointing news regarding the recent bureaucracy, retrogressive economy, increasing social problems, recession etc in Brazil. I thought that the Olympic would be total failure and abandoned by people. But on the contrary, I was almost dying in repentance while I was watching in the television the charismatic opening ceremony, the hilarious games, charming closing ceremony  happening just in a distance of 2 hours of journey by plane from my place. It could have been a lifetime experience if I had been there. But I did not go.

I could not resist anymore. There was at least the Paralympic remaining to commence in the same Olympic arena of Rio in September, 2016. I thought, "Okay, this time I shall, I must go there. I must not let this lifetime experience go just because of my foolishness". I worked hard, made some extra hours and booked my flights to Rio and made a lifetime experience being in the auspicious Olympic arena.

I do not have words to explain how happy I am being there. During the Olympic season, when I called my father he even asked why I did not take the opportunity to watch the Olympic personally and in reply I gave him some stupid excuses (for which I do regret). But now I am happy because at least made for the Paralympic.

We (me , my wife and my daughter) stayed only two nights in Rio. Could not make our stay longer because we all are working fellows. Took our flight from Salvador to Rio by 07:23 AM, on 10th September, 2016 and we arrived in Galeão International Airport, Rio by 09:35 AM on time. We were hosted by an awesome couple who is a common friend of us.

Apart from the experience in the Paralympic ground, we had another experience, that is exploring another part of Rio, Barra de Tijuca. I had previously visited Rio in 2014 but only stayed in the center of the city and I did not like it too much and also there happened an assault just in front of us. And last but not the least, the awesome food experience we had in the house of our friend. I was simply missing authentic Indian food since the last time I was in India. We ate till we could not take in anymore, chat till midnight, told stories, shared secrets and had a lot of fun with unforgettable memories.

Here are some snapshots of our visit to Rio.
